Looking for a cool giving opportunity?

Link your dreams to the future of Maryland students and watch them grow.

A hallmark of study at the University of Maryland is the opportunity for undergraduate students to work closely with prominent faculty on cutting-edge research projects. A gift of just $3,000 to the Summer Senior Scholars program can fund one of 25 students selected competitively to spend the summer developing independent research or artistic projects with faculty mentors. These projects help students earn a competitive edge with graduate school applications and often become the basis for independent study or honors thesis in their senior year. Click here to give online. Specify Undergraduate Research—Summer Senior Scholars.

Children with hearing loss and communications disorders look to the graduate students in the Hearing and Speech Clinic and pre-school for hands-on treatment. Providing the 35 graduate students with digital recorders, stop watches, and other essentials, that will enable them to conduct the appropriate language and hearing tests. It takes only $200 to outfit each student in the practicum class, so a gift of $7,000 would outfit the entire class. Click here to give online. Specify Hearing and Speech Sciences.
